Grade 9 Mastery

It's very common for students to feel 'stuck' around the middle grades in GCSE Physics. In this live, small-group, interactive course, I show you how to consistently master the most difficult questions on the GCSE Physics exam and unlock the highest grades possible.

Tailored Pre-Learning and Homework

Before each session, you'll receive my pre-learning checklist to make sure you get the most out of each session. After each session, I provide targeted homework activities to help you gain confidence in mastering the most difficult concepts and solving the hardest questions.

Q&A Session on Each Topic

Tailored Pre-Learning and Homework

Immediately after each live lesson I host a Q&A session which goes on for as long as needed. If students are still asking questions on the topic, the session continues. Get your questions answered by a seasoned examiner and expert physics teacher.

Targeted, Specialist Support

Targeted, Specialist Support

This is not a generic revision course! Sessions are carefully designed for students who are aiming for the highest grades in GCSE Physics. The focus is on the most difficult parts and application of the content, not learning the basics.

Frequently Asked Questions

This course is primarily designed with year 11 students in mind to help them get ready for exams. As the focus is on the application of content, it is helpful for students to have an awareness of the topic before each session, we don't spend long on the basic concepts within the session time. As schools teach the curriculum in different orders, I include a 'pre-learning checklist' before each session so students can brush up on the basics if they haven't yet met it in school. Students in Y10 who are willing to do some pre-learning before each session will get a lot of the course and are welcome but it is primarily intended for Y11.

All of the sessions are recorded so you can watch it back at a time that suits you.

This depends. There are some advantages to one-to-one tutoring however much of the benefit can be achieved through live lessons. Students still receive expert teaching and personalised support from an experienced physics teacher and examiner. The inclusive Q&A sessions mean that any questions they have, or aspects that they are unsure of, get addressed. There is also the benefit in learning from the questions posed by other students and it is available at a fraction of the cost of one-to-one expert tutoring.

I appreciate that some students don't like to speak up and ask questions. In the Q&A sessions, students can turn on their microphones to ask questions but they can also type them into the chat as well.

This is specifically designed for students studying GCSE Physics (Separate/Single Science). Although it will also be helpful for students studying Combined Science, some of the material on the course is not required for GCSE Combined Science so I don't recommend it for Combined Science Students.
