Physics Decoded - Equation Skills Builder

With at least 30% of the marks in GCSE Physics being based on the application of maths' skills, this is one area where small improvements can make a big difference to your final grade.

From Confused to Confident: Maths That Finally Clicks in GCSE Physics (90-minute Power Webinar)

Maths skills make up at least 30% of GCSE Physics marks, yet many students struggle to apply them in context—even those who excel in maths. In this webinar, I teach students how to confidently tackle equations, structure answers, and solve problems the way examiners expect. Mastering these skills can mean a 1–2 grade improvement. Over a thousand students have already benefited—now it’s your child’s turn to gain confidence and achieve higher scores in GCSE Physics.

What's Included?

90-Minute Live Webinar

In the 90-minute live webinar I explain my proven strategy to solve questions and structure answers to maximise marks. I demonstrate how to apply these techniques to a range of problems and students have the opportunity to practise applying these for themselves. There are opportunities for Q & A throughout the session and students leave with greater confidence in using maths skills within physics.

Comprehensive Notes

All students receive detailed notes including clear worked examples. These give a full breakdown of the strategies covered in the webinar so they can refer back to these in the run up to exams. The worked examples are sorted into categories to make them easy for students to use.

Additional Practice Materials

The way to develop proficiency is by completing a large volume of practice questions. Alongside the detailed notes, students also receive extra questions to practise with after the webinar to further embed their learning. These are sorted by topic and difficulty so students can focus on the questions which are most relevant to them. These include full solutions so they can check their working and answers as they go.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is suitable for all exam boards. The equation skills are universal across all GCSE boards.

This is aimed at students studying GCSE Physics/Combined Science, primarily students in years 10 or 11.

Both! Although GCSE Physics has some additional equations, this webinar develops the fundamental skill of applying the equations in a way which maximises marks. This skill is the same on both courses.

Yes! This is ideal for students who find maths challenging as it builds up an easy framework to decode and answer 'calculation' questions in physics. It is likely that this improvement alone will earn you a lot of additional marks in the paper.

Yes! In my experience as an examiner and Head of Physics, even students who are great at maths often don't set their working out in a way which maximises marks in the Physics exams. The system that I teach ensures you get all of the marks that you deserve.

No, Cameras (and microphones) are off for all participants.

Yes, there is a Q&A chat facility, just type your questions in and I'll go through them during the webinar.

You will also receive digital notes and practice activities to help embed what you learn during the webinar. I have extensive experience in delivering online training and know how to make the learning stick.

Trial Webinar

(Beta Trial) Webinar: Monday 9th March 5:00pm-6:30pm

Although I've delivered this exact training to over a thousand GCSE students in schools and during in-person revision courses (and I've been delivering online courses for years) I've never delivered my Equation Skills Builder as an online webinar.

I've now designed this as a standalone live webinar which I'll be launching for Easter of 2026. However, I always want my courses to be the best they can be so, before my full launch, I am delivering this as a trial (beta test) webinar on Monday 9th March 2026. I'm looking for around 10-15 GCSE students to join me for the trial webinar. You'll get the full, high-quality training along with all of the downloadable materials (the full training package). All I ask is that you give me brief feedback at the end (what worked well, what can I improve) so I can make sure this webinar has the same high impact that my other training has.

How much does it cost?

When launched, I am expecting to price this webinar at around £30-£40 (in line with my other online training courses and webinars) however for the Beta Trial Webinar on the 9th of March, the webinar itself is free and I'm only charging a 'booking fee' of £5. This fee is to reduce no-shows and make sure that spaces are available for people who genuinely plan to attend. I really value student feedback in all of my course design and there are no other charges for this webinar.

Limited spaces for the Beta Webinar on Monday 9th March. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to make real progress with GCSE Physics.
